Legs Matter – Help us to end the hidden harm crisis in the treatment of leg & foot conditions

Accelerate are proud to be taking part in Legs Matter Week 2023 which is 12-16 June this year.

Legs Matter Events

Foot Health Service at St Leonard’s hospital, Nuttall St, Hoxton, London N1 5LZ

What’s it about?

We will have a stand and there will be Podiatrists, Tissue Viability Nurses (TVNs) and a Lymphoedema Nurse on the stand. We will have compression garments, wraps and a pressure mat where we can demonstrate and talk about the link between oedema and venous disease and the importance of mobility in combination with garments.

There are several Allied Health Professional (AHP) services at St Leonard’s, who will give information on ‘chronic oedema’ which is the hidden harm and talk about the importance of referring on for management if it is recognised.

All Ability Cycling – Promoting lower limb health through cycling & raising the alarm!

Disabled Parking is available in front of the Velodrome. The nearest toilets are also in the Velodrome, accessible via the lift.

What’s it about?

We are partnering with Bikeworks CIC at their drop-in All Ability Cycling Club in East London.

Our goals are to engage with local communities & community leaders through all ability cycling while raising awareness of the hidden harm crisis in lower limb treatment at all levels.

Come & join us for a day of cycling, fun and learning about optimal lower limb health!
