Overview

This unique Masterclass will bring together nationally respected experts and clinicians who are keen to learn more about effective compression therapy, for peripheral oedema in people with heart failure. The day will be interactive, lively and incorporate plenty of time for discussion.

Who should attend?

Clinicians from all backgrounds who are already confident and competent with the use of compression therapy but wish to expand their skills and knowledge when the person who requires compression therapy has a diagnosis of heart failure.

Masterclass content

  • What is heart failure? An introduction to the different types of heart failure, classification criteria and signs and symptoms
  • An overview of heart failure medication and the complexities associated with medication management for this patient group
  • Safe compression in stable heart failure, a stepped approach

  • A case study based session where our expert panel will share case studies and encourage questions and debate from the audience
