A new Chair for Legs Matter, our CEO, Alison

Accelerate have taken great pride in being a member of the Legs Matter coalition since it’s inception and launch in 2017/18. The Coalition is a group of eight national lower limb organisations who are working together to increase awareness, understanding and prevent harm for lower leg and foot conditions. Legs Matter is run under the governance of the Society of Tissue Viability

The role of Chair of the coalition rotates through the 8 organisations and we are so proud that Alison Hopkins, our CEO has recently taken over the reins as Joint Chair with Joanne Casey, Professional Development Lead at the Royal College of Podiatry.

The activities that Accelerate undertake as part of the coalition are so important in raising awareness of the needs of people with lower leg conditions and also the harm of ineffectual system management. Together we are part of a national push for change.
