Masterclass: Skin conditions, unusual aetiologies and care of the lower limb

Knowing how to recognise common skin conditions will aid the practitioner in making accurate and targeted treatment decisions including choice of topical preparations

Dates

An on-line course 9.30am – 1.30pm

  • 3 November, 2025

Overview

In this live virtual Masterclass Fran Worboys, Accelerate Academy’s Clinical Nurse Consultant will draw upon more than 40 years of clinical nursing experience to explore the management of common lower limb skin conditions and how to recognise unusual aetiologies through accurate assessment.

Knowing how to recognise common skin conditions will aid the practitioner in making accurate and targeted treatment decisions including choice of topical preparations. It will enable informed discussion within the multidisciplinary team and assist in recognising when referral to a medical practitioner is required.

Atypical ulceration may indicate an unusual aetiology. Recognition of less common disease presentations will aid clinical decision making to ensure that the patient receives the correct care from the appropriate clinician.
