Overview
Teaching and learning are embedded in professional codes of conduct and healthcare professionals are required to support students and colleagues, to help them develop their professional competence and confidence. Many clinicians provide in house training or transfer specialist knowledge and expertise within the workplace.
This course will equip participants with the skills required to promote active and meaningful learning. It will create a platform to share knowledge and experience, ensuring education changes practice, which ultimately influences the provision of safe and effective care.
RCN Accreditation
This course is accredited by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) for Professional Accreditation.
Accreditation applies only to the educational content of the programme and does not apply to any product.
The RCN cannot confirm competence of any practitioner.
This programme can count for up to 12 hours of participatory learning for revalidation.

Who should attend?
Registered healthcare practitioners, from a variety of professional backgrounds who want to develop confidence in teaching practice. We welcome learners who have a professional registration with a regulator such as the HCPC, NMC or GPhC.

How the course is run
The live sessions will be held using the MS Teams virtual learning environment (VLE) with informative webinars, discussion, and Q & A sessions. You will need to have access to a laptop, tablet or computer with video and sound capability.
We will be using the chat facility in MS Teams, break out rooms and polling features of the VLE during the course to make the sessions interactive and we would ask you to participate as if in a face-to-face situation. We have an Academy Moderator who can support you in digitally preparing for the course should you need assistance.

- Attendees are approved based on the information supplied so this information must be accurate and truthful

- To receive a refund, cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the course start date. A non-refundable administrative fee of £25.00 per place will apply. For cancellations made after this period, refunds will only be issued if we are able to fill your place on the scheduled course
