Social Impact Report 2024 - 2025
Our impact on patients
Every appointment represents someone taking a step towards recovery – and often towards confidence, mobility and independence
Changing outcomes, changing lives
Behind every number is a person whose life has been transformed. Our patient outcomes this year speak for themselves. In 2024/2025, we welcomed 1,343 new patients, bringing our total caseload to 4,645. We delivered 10,341 appointments, supporting people from across North East London and 23 other boroughs of Greater London.
Every appointment represents someone taking a step towards recovery – and often towards confidence, mobility and independence. For many, the journey begins after years of frustration in other services. We give them time, attention and specialist expertise that can turn things around.

Results that matter
The best measure of our work is the difference it makes to people’s lives. This year our results once again surpassed national benchmarks, showing the impact of a service that combines evidence, expertise and empathy.
- Community leg ulcer care: 75% of patients healed within 12 weeks and 90% within 24 weeks – compared to 69 % at 24 within the National Wound Care Strategy implementation sites
- Complex leg ulcer care: Among patients referred with long-standing or non-healing ulcers, 79% healed within 24 weeks
- Lymphoedema management: For those living with chronic swelling, cellulitis rates fell from 31% at first visit to just 3% after effective compression therapy
These outcomes reflect our proactive approach – identifying problems early, optimising therapeutic management, encouraging mobility and involving patients at every step. The results are not only visible in individual recoveries but also in the ripple effect across the wider system: fewer hospital admissions, less antibiotic use and greater confidence among community nursing teams.

A culture of safety and trust
Across all four quarters in 2024/25, we recorded:
- Zero serious incidents
- Zero formal complaints
This consistency reflects a culture of trust, dignity and safety, where patients feel heard, respected and protected.
What this means for communities
Our impact reaches far beyond our treatment centres. Each healed wound or stabilised swelling represents not only a personal success but wider system benefits – fewer GP visits, reduced hospital admissions, and less reliance on antibiotics or emergency care.
By helping people to manage their conditions earlier and more effectively, we’re supporting community health services and reducing demand on overstretched teams. The result is healthier, more resilient communities – and a clearer understanding of how specialist, person-centred care can make a measurable difference at scale.
Our results show what’s possible when people receive the right care at the right time. If you’re facing challenges with non-healing wounds or lymphoedema outcomes, we’d welcome a conversation about how our experience could support your teams and your patients.
