Social Impact Report 2024 - 2025
Our impact in driving efficiencies
Every decision we make — from how we invest to how we grow — is guided by one goal: helping more people access expert care while keeping every pound working for our community.
Efficiency that translates into better care
Beyond treatment, efficiencies are firmly linked to our vision of patients having fewer wounds, thereby using fewer resources. Innovation isn’t only about treatments. It’s also about using resources wisely, managing costs responsibly and making sure that every pound saved is channelled back into better care.
In 2024/2025 our Dressing Optimisation Scheme marked its 16th year with record reach and fresh innovation. We supported 591 sites, launched a new real-time dashboard that gives greater oversight across local systems, and saw our Click online ordering platform used more widely than ever – helping clinicians cut waste, control costs and keep care running smoothly.
What began in Tower Hamlets has grown into a trusted model across North East London. We believe this model can be replicated elsewhere – delivering substantial, repeatable savings that are reinvested directly into community health and patient care.
Every decision we make – from how we invest to how we grow – is guided by one goal: helping more people access expert care while keeping every pound working for our community. We’ve shown that it’s possible to deliver financial stability and social impact side by side, and that’s something I’m determined to strengthen in the years ahead

Bringing savings for local investment
By helping local systems manage dressing spend transparently and efficiently, we make sure public money works harder where it matters most. The Dressing Optimisation Scheme continues to deliver substantial and recurring savings year after year – funds that strengthen frontline services and improve patient care. Our product-neutral approach means clinicians always get the best dressing for the patient, not for the supplier – a principle that’s key to both quality and cost-efficiency.
We developed a new dashboard strengthening this work by providing real-time oversight:
- Flagging areas that need tighter control
- Usage trends highlight potential supply or clinical issues
- Teams can spot patterns and act fast before small problems grow
Click!: simplifying ordering, empowering teams
Click is the online ordering platform at the heart of the Dressing Optimisation Scheme. It gives clinicians everything they need to manage stock efficiently, order quickly and make informed decisions.
By combining ordering, reporting and feedback in one place, Click supports a culture of continuous improvement and makes sure that savings are backed by real-world clinical insight.
Click has been essential for us to be able to operate. Without it, we wouldn’t have the correct supplies to treat our patients – many of whom would otherwise fall through the gaps in care
16 years of learning and refinement
With 591 sites now using the scheme, we’ve learned a lot about what works.
Superior savings and transparency – our approach consistently outperforms traditional industry schemes, delivering greater savings and clearer visibility across the supply chain.
Product neutrality – staying brand-agnostic allows us to adapt quickly to clinical needs while maintaining best value.
Reliable, personal service – clinicians receive what they need, when they need it — ensuring continuity of care and confidence in the process.
Clinical insight reporting – our detailed reports empower Tissue Viability teams, commissioners and Medicines Management with clear, actionable intelligence that supports evidence-based decisions.
