Social Impact Report 2024 - 2025
How patients shape our work
Through their feedback, stories and collaboration, patients push us to keep improving and remind us what good care really means
Pioneering care, shaped by real voices
Patients don’t just receive care from us – they shape it. Our patients help us see care differently. Through their feedback, stories and collaboration, they push us to keep improving and remind us what good care really means.
In 2024/25 we saw more patients than ever taking an active role: sharing their experiences, influencing decisions and inspiring others to believe healing is possible.
Sharing stories that inspire change
Real experiences speak louder than statistics. In February of this year, Nicole took to the stage at the National Lymphoedema Conference to talk about her recovery journey:
Her story captured what many others tell us: that hope and belief are just as powerful as treatment itself.
Sharing my story at a national conference was about more than me – it was about showing what’s possible with the right care.

Co-creating better care
Throughout the year we’ve supported our patient groups and followed their evolution. Every action – from reviewing a leaflet to joining a dance session – helps to build a more inclusive, compassionate and patient-led healthcare experience. This is community-powered change in motion.
Patients are now involved at every level of Accelerate’s work:
- A patient representative is present at all Director interviews, ensuring lived experience sits at the centre of key discussions.
- Patient literature is reviewed for clarity and accessibility.
- Patients contribute ideas for social media content and a Top Tips programme.
- Open events are co-designed to be useful, relevant and welcoming.
- Movement for Healing: Rosetta Life secured funding for a six-session dance and movement programme with The Wishing Well and students from London Contemporary Dance School, helping participants reconnect with their bodies and wellbeing.

What patients told us
We measure our success not just in data, but in what people tell us. Our annual patient survey paints a clear picture of what matters most to the people we support.
- Average rating: 9.7 out of 10
- 100% would recommend us to family and friends
The same words appear again and again in feedback: kind, professional, listening, reassuring. People describe feeling safe, cared for and empowered to manage their condition with confidence
Common themes include:
- Compassionate care: staff who take time to listen and treat patients as individuals
- Empowerment: clear information and guidance that help people understand their condition
- Accessibility: flexible appointments, home visits and transport support
- Emotional impact: care that restores hope and confidence
Our new Trustpilot page, launched in 2024/25, has already reached an average ‘Excellent’ score of 4.7 out of 5. The reviews echo the same message — that compassion and expertise go hand in hand, and that the care we provide genuinely changes lives.
Real experiences, real improvement
When patients take part in shaping care, everyone benefits — services become stronger, staff stay connected to purpose and outcomes keep improving.
